Jennifer Kay

Jennifer S. Kay (Mezzo-soprano) received her B.A. in music at The University of California, Santa Cruz, and has performed with opera companies all over the Bay Area ever since.  Some past experience includes chorus in The Rake’s Progress with Oakland Opera Theater; Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg with Berkeley Opera; Carmen and Roméo et Juliette with San Francisco Lyric Opera; Carmen, Die Fleigende Holländer, Un Ballo in Maschera, La Bohèmeand Don Giovanni with Opera San José. Miss Kay has been seen in the role of Follower in Tom Dean’s debut of White Darkness with Oakland Opera Theater; Flora in La Traviata, the Alto Soloist in Handel’s Messiah, and Suzuki in Madama Butterfly with Capitol Opera Sacramento/Davis. Most recently she sang the role of Paquette in Candide with Cinnabar Opera Theater.
