What a clever re-imagining of some of my favorite operas, done with panache and artistry. I wish I’d brought more friends to enjoy the evening.

Thank you for this video [Activist Aria: More Perfect Union]. I think it’s necessary to stand up for those who are voiceless or are afraid to stand up for themselves. I appreciate you advocating and making such a beautiful piece of art.

Opera Frontier is passionate about introducing children and young people to classical music, opera, and the power of art. Several of our performance pieces are appropriate for introducing children to opera in ways that are fun and educational, including Rejoice Abyssinia, Arabian Magic Mozart, Bollywood Lakmé, and Hip Hop Mozart.
Our award-winning video Activist Aria: More Perfect Union which deals with our nation’s ongoing struggle for human rights is appropriate for stimulating discussion among more mature young people.
A companion video PANEL DISCUSSION moderated by William Hodgson, actor & cofounder of Oakland’s Ubuntu Theatre Project features Garrett McQueen, arts activist, classical musician/podcast host, and equity consultant; and Steve Shlisky, retired Senior Editor of KTVU, Chair, Diversity Committee, NATAS, and Faculty at Laney College Media Department.
